The details for your first game are sent to us about 6 days before the season start date. Sometimes this can be sooner or later, depending on the competition. We then add to your schedule whenever new fixtures are released.

⚠️ Please make sure you have selected the correct timezone in the Just Play app. You can do this in the profile tab. ⚠️

πŸ—“ Updating your RSVP

Unavailable for games in advance? Head to "Game Availability" in your profile to update your RSVP early.

🚫 no shows & late RSVPs

We automatically default people to 'unavailable' if they RSVP as playing and don't turn up to the game. This also incurs a $15 no-show fee. This is to ensure a solid lineup and enough players for the game each week.Late RSVP's occur when a player pulls out of a game within 12 hours of game time.If Late RSVP's result in the whole team having to forfeit, this will incur a $10 Late RSVP fee.If there is a reason for a Late RSVP that is outside of your control, please let Customer Support know and they may waive the fee (remember, this is only if the team has to forfeit, which is quite rare).

βœ… submitting game reports

Game reports can be submitted by any permanent member of the team. We recommend doing this just after the game to ensure no one is missed.

πŸ” team subscriptions

Loving your team and weekly game? Players are automatically subscribed to continue playing with the same team for the next season. We'll send subscription details once your season is underway. If you don't want to continue, you can manage your subscription preferences in your profile.

πŸ™‹ FAQs

Number of Games

The number of games on the league listing page are our best estimate based on the information provided to us by the competition. This can change due to grading games / forfeits / Bye's, etc.
We have policies in place to ensure players get good value for registrations and always review the number of games at the end of the Just Play season.

Number of Players in a Team

We've created 10,000+ teams and played over 250,000 games. Our player attendance data and experience managing teams of individuals determines the number of players we place in teams across all sports.

Substitutions

We have a guide to help everyone be a good sport when your team have extra players to ensure the game time is shared evenly. Remember the old adage; teamwork makes the dream work! Check out the subs guide.

The Weather

We will notify you in the event that a game is cancelled. If you haven't heard from us you can assume your game is still on.

πŸ‘ PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

All Just Play players and teams should treat all other players, umpires, venue staff and spectators with respect at all times before, during and after a game. This code of conduct also extends to Game Chat. By participating in a game with Just Play, you agree to abide by the following conduct policy and do your best to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience:

  • Compete in the spirit of fair play and honesty.

  • Cooperate with the venue staff, teammates and opponents in a courteous and respectful manner.

  • Refrain from using profane, insulting, harassing or otherwise offensive language. Verbal or physical behaviours that constitute harassment or abuse are unacceptable

  • Respect the rights and dignity of all participants. This includes but is not limited to their gender, ability, cultural background or religion.

  • Put the good of the game and your fellow players' safety and enjoyment above the desire to win at all costs.

  • Abide by the rules of the game and competition, as well as the individual player conduct policy of the venue at which you are playing.

Players that fail to adhere to this code of conduct are subject to disciplinary action including but not limited to: suspension / removal from their team and competition as well as exclusion from competing in Just Play teams and / or games in the future.

Being a Team Player
In addition to following our Code of Conduct, we require all players who have signed up for a league to be a team player.
This means:
- RSVPing in advance to games you aren't able to play (making sure you do this with as much notice as possible)
- Playing your scheduled games. We believe that players should meet a 60% of games played threshold (with the exception of long term injury, illness, being away, etc.) Falling below this can make it really difficult for the team, for Just Play managing fill-ins or for the competition provider if we need to withdraw the team due to poor attendance. You can read more about this here.

At the end of the day Just Play is about providing an opportunity for anyone to have a fun sporting experience with new people, and we want you to actively contribute to making that experience as great as possible for everyone involved.
